This is the painting that my friend, Frank Murphy, painted during the entire concert.  Much like the traveling revivalists who were "chalk-talk artists,"  Frank's giftedness enabled the senses  to not only be titillated by sound, but by sight (as the painting came to life) and smell (the smell of the linseed oil).  One of the most spectacular moments of my life occurred as Chorale concluded the final movement of the Duruflé.  I glanced over at Frank, and he was putting the last brush stroke of the drool that was coming out of Christ's mouth.  I looked into Frank's face, and his eyes were filled with tears–mine as well.....I will never forget that moment or this concert.

(Look in the background, and you can see the impression of the Twin Towers.)
