PORTRAITS ST. MICHAEL'S* GALLERY
I have drawn and painted for years, and this summmer, I have had the opportunity to renew my love for drawing and painting by illustrating my first book of poetry.
I asked one of our UA students, trombonist Jamie Reeves, if he would mind if I attempted to draw his portrait as he looks so much like Michaelangelo's David. Jamie graciously agreed, and the result can be seen below.

University Singers was recording our first compact disc, and the engineer thought my name was Michael for some reason. He called me Michael the entire session which lasted over eight hours. I didn't correct him as I didn't want to embarrass him, and I had too much on my mind. Some of the students call me Michael now. Oh well....
